Step2: Then you will land on this page where you have to choose your account type, I recommend you to go with free account and then you can upgrade in future if required. 

Step3: Choose a username for your email address, create password, add your recover email which is optional and finally click on create account. Be careful if you are not providing a recovery email in such case if you forgot your password the account recovery is impossible.

Step4: That's it and you are good to go, you are welcomed with some welcome emails from ProtonMail.

The user interface is just like any other webmail and easy to use.

ProtonMail provides different account types to select one from whichever satisfies your needs, having a different price for different account types. They do provide free account option which includes 500MB storage and 150 emails per day you can extend these limits by paying extra money.

Conclusion:

If you are concerned about your privacy, ProtonMail provides end-to-end encryption while sending emails, user privacy is nowhere exploited in between, no one can read your emails as all mails are encrypted. It has a limit on daily mails but free account provides 150 emails per day which is enough for a normal user.
